The Architecture of Unscripted Success
Founder of Reality Blueprint Consulting, Leela Pon is a seasoned Unscripted Content Executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in the alternative entertainment landscape on both the network and studio side. Based in Los Angeles, CA, Leela specializes in crafting robust programming slates from the ground up, scaling original formats into global franchises, and discovering breakthrough worlds and characters.
Leela most recently served as SVP, Unscripted Development & Content at FOX Entertainment Studios, where she was hand-selected to build the development department, strategic slate, and team infrastructure for the newly formed internal studio. In this role, she spearheaded numerous hit series for the network while managing executive producer deals for A-list talent including Will Arnett, Rob Lowe, and Jamie Foxx. Additionally, she engineered breakthrough content relationships with brands like Mattel, Macy's, Atari, Powerball, Universal Music Group and MLB, and successfully expanded the studio's reach beyond FOX to network partners including NBCU, Versant, WBD, Disney and Amazon.
Prior to her time at FOX, Leela spent 12 years at E! Entertainment Television/NBCUniversal, ultimately serving as SVP, Head of Development, where she redefined the network’s original programming vision. During her tenure, she oversaw pop-culture-defining hits such as Botched, Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, Chelsea Lately, Dr. 90210 and WAGS.
Leela holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism & Communication from Arizona State University and an AI Leadership certificate from MIT Professional Education.
